Click on the title of this posting to go read about the movie. They don't know when this thing is coming out. It was supposed to be around the end of November and now they're hinting at December which probably means some time in 2009.
Viggo Mortenson has played Lucifer in "The Prophecy," he resurrected Kowalski from the old 1971 movie "Vanishing Point" in a remake by the same name. He has played a self-reformed Irish Gangster in, "History of Violence" and a Russian Gangster (no spoliers!) in, "Eastern Promises."
"The Road" is probably going to be something to remember...

I will definately have to see that one, maybe even in a theatre.
The Vanishing Point remake is pretty okay and sticks to the original story line in a vague kind of way. At least, there's a white '71 hemi Challenger, it goes fast, it interfaces with heavy equipment. (Screw spoilers, if you don't know how the original ends, you ain't hardly worth talkin' to.)
The remake is missing the very memorable and (at the time) scandalous nude biker babe and the two very odd homosexual car jackers. It also makes an effort to turn the classic "Anti-Hero" Kowalski into a moral and ethical man which kind of destroys the point of the whole movie but hey, like I said...

Definitely worth seeing.
As for "The Road" I really wish you'd waited until closer to release date to tell me about it. Now I'll be doin' the Carly until it comes out.
ANTICIPAY AY SHUN!
